Need culture info

I got a Rhinchostylis gigantea for Christmas this year and fear that the conditions in the house are way too cool for it.
Does anyone have its culture info so I know what to do with it?
I also have a Neostylis Lou Sneary that is healthy but hasn't bloomed this year...are the conditions the same?

I grow mine with my Vandas - outside in Florida, so conditions are totally different, but....

During winter we get lower temps. All of my Vandas have slowed growth tremendously, based on root tip length. I would estimate that when average temps hit about 60 (70 high, 50 low) is when they really stopped. They seem to tolerate the cooler temps, but aren't growing much. In a cold snap average temps are around 50 (60 high and 40 low).

I'm guessing your indoor temps will be ok, but your light conditions might be low. I grew up in Chicago, but have lived in Minneapolis or Florida all of my orchid growing life. Chicago would have better light than Minneapolis, but lee than FL. I did well with phals in MN, but probably would have had to supplement the light for Vandas. Your summer temps (and humidity) will be fine

I grow outside also, I water my vandas twice a day during the warmer months and they are all bare root. During the winter I water every third day. They are brought in whenever it is going below 60 and I maintain that. You need bright light if you are going to keep indoors, maybe you should think about some artifical light to supplement. I have mine in a sunny south window. Someone from your area needs to chime in. BTW, my Rhino, alba just completed blooming.

I have mine in a south window and also have a "grow light" for warmth and light...I will have to remember to water it every 3rd day in the winter and once every 2 weeks in the summer when it is outside.
