You read right. Is there any way to help the buds on my phal type den to open? The buds are HUGE and there is something in one week that I would like to have it in bloom for.

I hope you mean the buds are huge and not bids...

Well warmer temps can speed up the process as long as they don't blast in the process.

Agree with Ted - any GENTLE change that increases metabolism will help, both light and temperature. Just keep it subtle. You could even try misting with water just a tad warmer than room temperature.

Is this its first rebloom for you? Some orchids naturally seem to open faster than others and knowing what it's done in the past would help predict the future.

Yes. I meant bids. That's funny, I wish people would offer huge BIDS for it, just a noid.

Thankyou for your help. Would putting warmer water the the humidifier help?

Interesting dilemma all I can think of is heat, but a blast is always possible. Cooler keeps the blooms open longer so maybe.
