Cambria NOID - 3 problems

Hi everybody!

This is my first real problem with an orchid - and my first post to OB after my introduction.

The plant is a Cambria NOID (photo #1 - as it looks now). I haven't been able to ID it, all I know is that "Cambria" is a generic name given to quite a number of intergeneric hybrids. It's not in bloom now, but I've found a picture taken last August: photo #2.

Problem #1: very small dark brows dots on the back of the leaves (like pitting). It seems to spread slowly. Can't see any insect (but they might be microscopic). See photo #3.

Problem #2: small darker green spots on leaves (photo #4), which appear translucid in back-light (photo #5). This is also spreading slowly.

Problem #3: In October it started growing a new shoot which seemed to be doing great. But now the new shoot looks ill as well (photo #6). A month ago I have isolated the plant on a southward windowsill, and that window is opened 2-3 times a day for 15-30 minutes each time. Could the cold air be the cause?

I'm lost here, I don't know what to do, where to start. I would really appreciate any advice.

Well, one of the folks here has a saying - Lack of knowledge never kept me from having an opinion.

I may be multiply lacking in knowledge here, because I've got multiple opinions on this thing.

Some of the darker spots could be scale, the transluscent spot looks almost like a water spot, I've had a couple of plants develop similar "freckling" after exposure to cold temps, and there might be some sun damage in the last picture.

These are just my guesses, so hopefully others will chime in.

For my 2 cents, I agree that picture 3 does look like scale, pictures 4-5 look like water damage. Picture 6looks like cold damage to me.

Both of the above seem to be consistent with the facts.
I take it there's no cure, just being careful to avoid cold or direct sun in the future.

Re: the darker spots. Today I saw several identical Cambria orchids (same source, same label), and they all had those darker spots on the back of the leaves - actually much more of them, grouped in streaks. It occured to me that this could just be a "feature" of the plant, as if some cells are hardening with time (like very young trees beginning to form bark). Does this make any sense?

What do you mean by "water damage"? Are the spots caused by water droplets left on the leaves after misting? I rarely mist the leaves, just the roots and the top of the medium, but I can't rule it out.
