Where to cut????
Default Where to cut????

Hello.
I have a doubt... the flowers on my hybrid of (onicidium and odontoglossum) are starting to darking and fall...
I would like to know where should i cut the stem? the problem is regarding this type of dry wound that i found on the steam and is to low so i´m in doubt???

That's a very pretty orchid. I don't think there's any reason to cut it off until it's finished blooming. After that you can cut it wherever you want. If you would rather cut below that wound that's fine. The stem will probably just dry up and turn brown. If you can't cut below the wound, just keep an eye on it. I really haven't seen any problems on a flower stem spread to the plant although I guess anything is possible. Good luck.

Whe you cut off the flower stock just cut back to where it comes out of the sheath. if you are cutting a leaf wait till the leaf falls over and cut right at the fold. You can cut right at the top of the bulb.
