A suggestion. Set out some newspaper, which is a great insulator. Lay the pot in the corner, tuck the paper over the medium a bit, and roll up the newspaper and pot together so that the pot is in a newspaper cone. Fold down the top of the cone. Put the protected plant into a cardboard box or even better, an ice chest.
