Default Iwanagaara Apple Blossom 'Mendenhall' Bud?

I'm thinking this may be a bud, it's just rather flat (like new leaves would be, in a different type of orchid). So I thought I would ask, since I know some people on this board have the apple blossom. I just got this a few months ago, and it was not listed as a blooming size plant.

I apologize for the blurriness, my phone doesn't focus well really close up. And, before anyone says anything, the leaves are actually tinged purple on the edges. Presumably due to higher light level.

So, do I have a bud?

I would say it's a bud due to the fact that it appears to be coming out if a dried sheath. At least that what it looks like to me. Congrats! Take some pics and post when it's blooming.

It is certainly a spike. This orchid doe not produce three leaves on a bulb.

I have had these in 5 different colors

And just when you learned to pronounce Iwanagaara they go and change the family to Jackfowlieara AppleBlossom

The abbreviation is Jkf
