Happy Christmas to all on OB,

I had a christmas present today off my friend who brought me my first orchid two years ago. It was a preserved orchid from the orchid gardens in Kuala Lumpur when she stopped off there from Australia and back to the UK.

I would like to know what orchid it is, thanku very much OB i really love it :-)

It looks like it is just Lucite you can buy the stuff as a liquid resin then add a hardener and let it set up then polish it with acetone and sell it for 30time what it cost to make

Yes the orchid is set into a plastic resin with a frosted back. it's actually a fridge magnet.

It's amazing looking in the flesh.

I think it's a Den, something in the phalanthe section of Dendrobium most likely.
