Default Looking for Lc. Merry Song Orchid

Hi again everyone! I am looking for a plant to purchase called Lc. Merry Song and I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction? I purchased one off of Ebay and it was labeled Cattleya Lc. Merry Song...if you do a google search you will find who I have bought most of my trouble plants from Anyways, the one I purchased was one of three unhealthy plants, but I didn't realize this one was unhealthy until a few weeks later and I am sure I won't get a replacement like I did with the other two, and even then the replacements weren't that healthy either. TIA for those who can point me in the right direction, I haven't seem to have much luck on Google.

Ah Hah! I think I want to strangle that seller that I have been getting my troubled plants from and couldn't find any info on some of the plants altogether! Well here is the reason....the seller doesn't have the spelling correct! The name of the plant I am looking for is Lc. Mari's Song and the seller has it listed as Cattleya Lc. Merry Song. Argh!

Please don't be discouraged on eBay sellers. I am working with Eli Santiago Jr (exoticorchidspr)on sending me some schombs and a phal. From what I have read and from his feedback, he is a very good exporter. He has been in touch with me many times over my future purchases. His Dad, (OrchidsbyEli) has an outstanding feedback rate of 100%. There is a little language barrier but they are willing to work with you and answer any questions you have.
Lc Mari's Song you should find without trouble!
Try Orchidmall.com for sites and resources
and Orchids.com and Orchidwire.com
I have 2 Blcs that I'd like to trade or sell.
One is pink with yellow and is fragrant
Let me know if you are interested.

Dorthy,
I hope I didn't come across the wrong way, I have bought from other sellers on eBay and have had much better success! It is just one particular seller. I can understand a language barrier, but I have communicated several times with this individual and have had no problems. How is a person supposed to know they are getting what they think they are if the name is not spelled correctly? I just happened by luck to run accross the correct spelling of this plant while looking for another one. And the seller has worked with me on some of the plants I was sent, and they have continued to be of the same quality for the most part....I would just think that the seller would put two and two together eventually! I know I am not the only one who has had problems with this seller as I have read stuff on other forums, but his ebay rating continues to be good...not sure how that is, but I will know better in the future!

One of the things I've learned along the way...and try to convince other people of...is that incorrect tags are more commonplace than most people realize! It happens with reputable vendors too, surely it's not done on purpose, but it does happen.
The fact that you're getting low-grade plants from this particular vendor is the true problem here. Go by your own experience, not what his ebay ratings are. You now know that you are not satisfied doing business with him...so give your business to somebody else There are plenty of wonderful people around, selling fantastic 'chids. I wish you luck.

Have you found any info now that you know what the actual name is? Have you been able to locate it at another vendor?

RP - I know who you are talking about and it is a shame that his standing is so high but he seems to be successful with some people .. I have never dealt with this person but again I have read the good the bad and the ugly.
I hope you find your Lc Mari's Song
Let us know when you do!

H & R in Hawaii has Lc. Mari's Song 'CTM 217' HCC/AOS at very reasonable prices. It's a mericlone, but one of the best. Call at 808-259-9626. Ask for a pricelist. H & R is one of the best anywhere.

Regards,
Rick
