Two new Orchids and questions.
So for X-mas my uncle got me two Orchids which I got to pick out yesterday. On is a Cattleya which isn't in bloom at the moment but has a lot of new growth. The other is a oncidium which is beautiful. I'm very happy with both.

So then I have a couple of questions.
1) What Orchids do best in Colorado?

Hello,
You're oncidium is actually a Maudiae-type paphiopedlium. Great plants though!!

They look nice but, Umm, I may have missed something (so forgive me) - I don't see an Oncidium ... what you have labelled as an Onc. is a Paphiopedilum. Here's a Wiki leak for you for some quick info:

No a little different care, less light, go to the AOS website and get one of the care sheets for PAPHIOPEDLIUMS. This plant will probably grow and bloom better for you indoors in your setup that you have pictured than an oncidium would (generally)

Ha ha, my post looks a bit silly as micah just pipped me to it! (Edit: and a second time it seems. I've really got to work on my typing speed!)
I grow my Paphs warm with bright but indirect sunlight. Here's a link to some info from one of our top places in the UK:

Different Paphs need different conditions and since I don't grow any of these (I have only parvisepalum paphs at the moment), hopefully someone more experienced will come along and help

Definately a Paph, really nice looking one. The culture sheets posted about should help with care.
I love growing these, such wonderful flowers.

I agree with Rosie, they are great to grow and yours does look lovely One thing you might want to do though (after looking at the pics again) is clear some of the moss from around the base of the fan, particularly the bit which looks like it's in between the leaves. That should help prevent any rot from happening there and be careful when you water not to leave any water in the leaf joints, again, to prevent rot
