Hello,
Is it safe to ship the Habenaria medusae rhizomes and Calanthe rosea bulbs by airmail now when it is down to -15C outside or should I wait for spring?
I really want it now though...
Thanks
I would wait. They are not frost hardy plants at all so it is safer to receive them when temperatures are at least 10 degrees at night.
Heatpacks do work, but only up to about 60-70 hours, and if the heatpack gets too close to the tiny corms, then the corms are fried.. not what you want at all!
If they are from another country, please be mindful of the Canadian import requirements on orchids
