please help with mold!!:( Female

my new Trichopilia sauvis started to grow mold around the base of the plant i dont know why its doing that never had that problem before. its potted in a bark, charcoal,spong rock mixture and its newly potted. i have been trying to water it more sense it was newly potted so if anyone has any idea what i could do to stop the mold it would be well appreicated! sorry no phots i scraped the mold of the plant!
