Love Kawamoto orchids. I have always gotten bigger plants than I expected.

Kawamoto is really unbelievable! I am so happy with my purchases I can't wait to order again - can't recommend them enough.

There are about 7 buds that haven't yet opened so at the very least I get to see them in all their glory! Fingers crossed that some or all of these open up all the way. :-)

Only things is she seems to have bloomed while in transit to me! Most of her flowers are creased, bent, or held somewhat closed. Is there a chance these will be fixed in a few days and open the way they should?

The plant in question is a Bc. 'Hawaii".

Thanks!
Why not give a call to that orchid company and see if they can help. I'm sure they have to deal with orchids having problems being sent through the mail.

Seems like I'm outta luck anyhoo - she went through blast this weekend. I don't think the cool temperatures in the FedEx truck helped considering she left Hawaii to live with me! :-)

So sorry to hear about the blast. I have had a lot of that too with plants that started the buds somewhere else. I am hoping that when (if) the spike for me they will keep the buds.
