basal keiki

everyone i posted some pics earlier, thought i was having a spike and it turned into a basal keiki it has grown alright since. Now may question is the leaves on mother plant are starting to turn yellow..i think mother is dying am i going to lose the baby as well? It started to grow it's own root..but because it was a little wobbly in it's pot it fell over and the growing tip on the root died Any help would be great it is my first keiki and no idea what to do thanks all


p.s. over the summer mother grew new roots off old growth and no rot will baby use mother's roots?

The keiki should use the mother's roots until it grows some of it's own. I've heard of ones where the mother died but it's roots carried on feeding the keiki.

I would just keep caring for it as normal.
