Default Mould on clay pots....

I have mould growing on the outside of my clay pots. Is this normal?? I just don't want it to infect the plants. I guess its due to the clay being moist. Any comments or suggestions??? Thank you!!!

Just scrub it off with a stiff brush, no harm done

Spray with 1 oz chlorine bleach per gallon of water.

Ray, will this hurt the plant if it gets some overspray on it? Thanks!

No. Before I "discovered" Physan, I used that solution throughout the greenhouse as a spray and drench for algae control.

Looking back at this thread, I thought I should ask "are you sure it's mold, and not just mineral buildup?"

I'm pretty sure it's mold. It's black and white and fuzzy. If it was white and crystal like I'm sure it would be mineral buildup but it's not. Thank you!!
