Mini Phal. 'Flora Gigi'

Here is my new mini Phal. 'Flora Gigi.' It has 8 blooms currently. One is yet to open fully.

Very pretty!! I bought 4 mini phals about a month ago and they all have that same clay pot. I have also seen them on ebay with that pot. It must be the new thing. Love the mini.

Absolutely adorable, SG. My godmother got this exact orchid earlier this month when she attended the Mass Orchid Society annual show. It looks just like a mini Sogo Vivian.

Very pretty! Love how the blooms are all clustered on a lot of these minis.
I've never bought any since I'm unlucky and am never at the store when they're freshly arrived. By the time I get there its root n sphag soup. The latest ones I saw were potted in sphag and potting soil!

This one is in pure sphag, and it's pretty moist too. Much more so than I would like it to be, but it's not sopping wet either. The store must have watered quite recently and they don't really specialize in plants, mainly hardware, so they over watered. Roots look really good though.

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but you might consider pulling out some of the sphag so it isn't quite as packed, and making sure there is no moss up against the crown.

I repot anything I buy that comes packed in sphag.
Be really careful watering. Sure has a lots of blooms for a mini., enjoy good find.
