Default Yellow leaves and pbulbs on my suicidal Chia Lin

Recently some of the leaves on my suicidal Catt started to turn yellow. I didn't think much of it, because they are old growths. But now the pbulbs are also turning yellow, and one even kind of brown. I unpotted it, and I definitely have bad roots going on, but a lot of good roots too. Is this something more than just bad roots, and the fact that it hates me, and keeps trying to kill itself by jumping off it's ledge?

The more I dig around, and get the bark untangled, the more I see how bad the roots are in the middle. Since these pbulbs seem to be rotting, should I get them out of there, since they don't look like they would be of much use to him? Or leave them be?

I'm still very new at this, but some of those center roots look really black while the outer ones look healthier. I would remove anything obviously black and soggy, and treat with anti fungal/bacterials. If it's black and soggy I can't imagine that part can recover, but again, still a newbie here.

Yeah, there was a lot of OLD bark stuck in there that was just falling apart as I tried to pull it out. They must have just shoved new bark in around the old bark, when repotting it.

Then from my recent knowledge, I would say trim off all the rotted roots with a fungicide/bactericide to sterilize and repot in a sterile pot with clean substrate.
Everything I've heard and common sense says if the medium has rotten that badly it's probably breeding bacteria and/or fungi and removing it (along with infected roots) should fix the problem.

Yeah, that is the same direction I was heading with this too.

I'm just wondering though, if I should remove the bad pbulbs too, since I assume they will not get any better. Anyone have thoughts/ suggestions on this?

Get a clear plastic pot so you can see what's going on. It also allows roots to photosynthesize. That may help.

I'd leave the pseudobulbs alone.

Grow in a slightly warmer area.

Water less for the first couple weeks. Then resume normal watering.
