how long does sea weed fertilizer last?

This spring I bought a package of dried seaweed fertilizer, the kind you mix into a five gallon bucket of water. Is it still good? Does it go bad? It smells kind of gross.

If you bought it in the spring I'm sure it's still good. Most seaweed fertilizers have an unpleasant odor.

it never used to smell this bad. I was just wondering if they go bad and if they do if it is bad for the orchids.
