New roots for Oda. Male
Default

Hello ladies and gents,

I have been enjoying these blooms and still continue to open buds. YEA!!! My other thing is that my plant is getting worse. The PB's are shriveling up at this time. Should I let this thing dry out to encourage new roots or what? I just want to make this thing last. I have it in medium bark mix. Any suggestions on getting this thing to rebound? Thanks!!

Well In my condition grown indoors in front of a w facing window - my oncs thrive.... i have most in S/h and a couple in bark. I dont' think you can do anything to revive your p/bulbs (But I have learnt that Oncs love water on the whole) - i would soak in a root stimulant & water with (ex: KLN) and keep moist rootsand new p/b will soon appear
If you decide to try S/h this will be the time to repot (new roots). I have a couple Onc alliances in Intensive care with your problem & I have planted in choir, I dunk them once a week in KLN & they have produced a new p/bulb which is now starting to root.
Good Luck! ..
keep us posted
PS: orchids are 'tough' & will grow back if you 'listen' to them
