Default bugs

hey guys i seen little tiny bugs here and there coming out of some pots of my orchids. any suggestions on what i should do about it.

l have all my orchids outside, just hope those bugs are not eating on the roots of the orchids. thanks for your help

First try spraying them with alcohol if you see them. Spray the bottom of the pot, and clean up the area around pot,

Then soak your orchid in a bucket of water for about 5 minutes to flush them out and see just what you have.
Do you see any damage, can you get a picture, Florida has many different bugs so a pic would be most helpful or a good description.

Our regular cockroaches live in bark chip., what do you have your orchid planted in.? Where are they sitting? Need more information. Good Luck

i have my orchids planted in hydroton. Thanks CTB.. will try the alcohol and the soak.

yes i have found out that there is a lot of different bugs around here. im originally from honolulu and most of the bugs and reptiles round here i have never seen before. some which i hope i will never see again.

My first suggestion is find out what they are. Are they silvery in colour? Do they seem to jump/spring into the air when you blow on them? If so they might by Collembola (spring tails), which are harmless. If so, spraying your plant with alcohol is just going to stress your plant without need.
The other thing is, if you are still not sure what it is, take the plant out of the hydroton and boil the hydroton, then replant.
