Yellowed Back Bulb Male
Default Yellowed Back Bulb

Hi guys - I recently inherited a lovely Pot. from Carter and Holmes. I worry that I don't have enough light for it, but it's been managing. It was in bloom for almost 2 months. Then it lost it's flowers all at once. What worries me is that around the same time the flowers died, the stubby little back bulb, which used to be green and healthy looking, turned yellow/brown and sickly looking. I've never had a pot. or any other orchid in this alliance so I'm not sure whether this is a sign of trouble. Help!

Any suggestions/info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

-J

Potinara should be grown like a Catt.

The roots look pretty bad, you might wanna take a look at them.

You also didn't mention what kind of lighting the plant is under and the kind of exposure it's getting. It would be very helpful to know this in order for anyone to give you a good answer to your questions.
