I think there's something wrong because what you don't know is that all the flowers are closed, BUT they never opened..! They stay closed, just like the photo, and after one day, they fall... The one that is open, is from another same orchid some friend gave me and I put it there inside mine to kind of "mix" them. Let me see if I can take another photo. Now is really pretty, but still have the same problem with flowers. =(

Hmmm...that is a bit odd... Some orchid clones display a trait called cleistogamy (Greek for 'closed marriage,' I think) in which the flowers never open fully and are self-pollinating, obviously not something that many orchidists appreciate...

It could also be that some needed environmental cue for blooming is missing. Perhaps this species needs to warm back up after a cool period in order to put on a good blooming show, I don't know. You might want to talk to your friend to see if your growing conditions differ noticeably in any way. Otherwise I would suggest just continuing to grow it well and giving it time, your plant might bloom better at certain times of the year even if your friend's is blooming well right now. Good luck!

I'm no where near an expert, but my guess is that it's a seed pod.

Just let it be if you want to harvest it when it is ripe or if you can't be bothered trim it off with the spike after all the flowers are gone. The plant looks plenty healthy to grow a seed pod and not use all of it's energy, I would leave it personally.
