It looks like your new growth may have been pinched or restricted by the edge of the pot. To prevent this from happening again, repot and allow some growing space for the actively growing side of the plant. Dendrobiums don't take kindly to being repotted so try not to disturb the roots much during the process. Your plant might sulk for a while after being repotted. This is normal for dendrobiums.
