Default something eating up my catasetum root !!!!

something is eating up my catasetum's root, leaving round small circular defect on the root. something like a tub ice cream being scoop off a hole.
caught a three black color small snails before, had been applying mollusicide and pesticide...problem stop for about a week or two and now it is coming back. need help to get rid of these pests.
wanted to do repotting but the catasetum is halfway maturing the new bulb, re potting now would caused an underdeveloped bulb size. to make thing worst, that pot is my biggest pileatum of all
any remedy that i can try to get rid of whatever that is causing the problem. thanks

Try to soak the pot in room temp coffee. It kills snails and keeps them away

Try a late evening and/or early morning hunt armed with a torch. You may find you are feeding a small cockroach or a snail that hide in the potting mix during daylight hours.

Haven't tried Stephano's method but it sounds good.

Assuming you have snails/slugs, watering with slug clear liquid will do it.

I guess you poured that coffee with the snails in a mug, added a spoon of sugar and some cinnamon and drank something better than civet coffee.

Anyway I found a scientific paper on the internet about the efficiency of coffee for eliminating slugs/snails.

I think both caffeine and nicotine are defenses against pests.
Probably soaking / blending some leaves of Nicotiana / tobacco in water works as a pesticide.

I am wondering if coffee is effiient against other pests/ insects. I am considering soaking in coffee most plants I am bringing indoors

I've never used coffee, but I like the idea, of course, after I've had mine! Anyway, would you dilute the coffee or use it full strength? And how long would you soak the medium?

Coffee might be okay, but tobacco runs the risk of Tobacco Mosaic Virus.
