over watered orchid

Hi, Somebody plz tell me wht to do?asked neighbor water the orchid once in a 5 days.she misunderstood and watered the plant daily,after i got back i saw tht my orchid leaves were yellow,falling and flowers were wilting,after little research i understood i have to remove it and check for root rot and tht happened becoz of over watering..it indeed had rotten roots which i cleared most of it.i still think it has some solid roots and planted it back in a less moisture coconut fiber pot.now i have 2 yellowing leaves and wilting flowers which is getting worse.will my orchid survive?.when should i water this plant again?and should i keep the flower spike or cut it?is there anything i can do to make it better.
