Hi everyone

I think everyone on here will agree how great this site is and how much fantastic information is available

But, I was thinking how good it'd be to have a thread where we can all chip in with the best/ most interesting/ most useful/ least useful(!)/ most unusual/ etc thing that we've found out on OB. That way, we might learn a bit more from each other and maybe help others along the way.

(apologies if this has already been done, I did look but couldn't see anything obvious!)

So, to get the ball rolling, the most interesting thing I have found out on here is the use of cinnamon to treat fungal infections and use as a caurtariser when doing divisions, for example. It's a simple one, and clearly something that lots of people know, but I didn't know that before I looked on here

Looking forward to reading what you think,
Jenny x

I once received some very supportive comments when I discovered one of my prized Cattleyas (a wedding present, no less!) was virused. It was just what I needed to hear at the time, and I'm very grateful for that...it helped me to do the right thing so that the rest of my collection wouldn't be threatened.

I learned about cinnamon as an antifungal.

I learned that I could use isopropyl alcohol directly
on my orchid leaves to get rid of mealybugs.

This site rocks!! Thanks, everyone.
