Great things I've learned from OB (in no order) are:
1- skewers
2- neem oil / dish soap
3- temperature drop for bloomin' phals
4- how amazingly cool the OB people are. It's really something to share a hobby like this with so many great people from all over the country/world. Everyone has been so welcoming, so open with info and encouraging. I don't know that I would have kept up with collecting orchids were it not for the folks at the OB. The OB has been a great outlet for me over the last year or so and I've learned so much just from observing the interactions between the various people on this site. Speaking of which, RJ - nicely done, brother. You've raised the bar with your post in this thread. I've always admired your creativeness and enthusiasm - first round's on me if you're ever in NE.
Single greatest bit of orchid-info that I've learned from OB comes from Sue, with her "if you kill one you have to go out and buy two more to replace it" rule. Best. Rule. Ever.
Thanks Sue!
