Default 2 phals in a pot

I added a new phal to my orchid collection.its a miniature
phal with white flowers planted in moss..The small pot has 2 plants in it with totally 3 spikes .The spikes have a few flowers & is growing very healthy..I notice that one of the phal in the pot has a leaf growing from a node .....Could it be a keiki??..I am a little concerned about the fact that there r 2 plants in the same small pot.Is it ok for them to grow like that or should it b seperated into diff pots??....Thank u in advance.

Hi, I don't think it would hurt to leave them in the same pot. Depends of course if you want two seperate plants. It looks like that little leaf could turn into a keiki, just leave it and see if it produces more leaves and roots.

Have you had a look at the plants roots? I've never grown a phal in moss, I prefer medium bark. It looks very healthy anyway.

I have 2 phals in one pot - came that way - and they'd probably been like that since being in a compot - I couldn't get them apart when I re-potted, so left them together - both are fine.
The only concern might be that if one gets sick, both will ...

It is usually best to keep one plant per pot. If you do wish to separate them it is best to wait until after it finishes blooming.

As for the keiki question, to me it looks like a bract that turned into a small leaf. I could be wrong though.
