superthrive seems to work
after reading so much on the product, there seems to be no real say in if it works or not. some people say it works and others say it has no effect on the plant.
well, i went off and bought some and watered my plants with it just ONCE. it been a week and all of them are putting out new roots like crazy. idk about anyone else but i say this stuff DOES work for me because i dont see how any plants just sulking outside in the heat would all just miraculously decide to put out roots. i want to try KLN too but il leave that for next year. its too expensive and i have to use up the ST first.
p.s. my miltoniopsis died after only a couple of days in my presence . i guess it was too hot for it at 80-85F as it was a 70-75F grower. oh well. milts are beautiful and i will persist

just e sure not to use it on plant that are in spike or bloom. especially not when the plants just have the beginnings of spikes! ive already lost a spike from using it during development, and it can cause deformities if used while the plant is in bud/bloom.
but, used carefully, superthrive is a wonderful product! and i will continue to use it. good luck with your milt

I got some of this when I got my boyfriend a banana tree for his birthday and he uses the stuff regularly and I can't believe how it works for him and his plants! Me...I use it not as regularly as he does and I don't see any real changes in my plants. Either it just doesn't work for me or I should use it more regularly and then maybe I would see better results. I haven't used it on my orchids; I didn't know if it was okay for them or not.

I use superthrive on my plants. While it's not the "miracle elixir" it's usually made out to be, it is a great rooting stimulator and establisher for newly repotted plants. It's how I got my vandas to root over the growing season.
I still can't see any correlation between lead/leaf production and superthrive use, however.

well, if you have more and healthier roots, you should be seeing more growth, so its indirect
but its definitely not the 'miracle elixir' that some say

If you see positive results I would keep on using it. I think everyone has different growing conditions, water quality, and culture habits. As a result different products seem to work for different people. It's amazing to me how totally different culture techniques can still grow great orchids. Many people have had good results from Superthrive. In my case I didn't see much difference in my orchids. I tried several other products and found Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed had the most noticable affect on my plants. But that's just me. Most of us can't stop experimenting even when we're having good results.
