Microsoft does that so everyone upgrades to Vista .. but I don't see why they would think XP is now so obsolete when so many have it .. and are happy with it without changing .. but that's what a corporate monopoly can do.

My computer technician said that Microsoft will update IE6 security issues....so he said I'd be fine for at least 7 -8 years before Microsoft cuts IE6 off completely. By then I'll need a new computer anyway and will probably get the newest and greatest OS of the year, LOL... If it's a problem, I can always switch to FireFox...

Great to have you back, puter techno is always making changes to keep up with the times and not remember of it's past usage/users. Makes a lot of sense knowing Billy is the of high dollar volumn. The changes are just to *&^* with us...

Loaded Foxfire on my desktop, still get the crazy white box instead of the logo loading and pages burping, than she comes around. Not much for discrepencies on web pages..so instead of waiting I am going to download it on the laptop and play around with it, there is always the uninstall icon
