Cheryl
Maybe you needed to set it to be your default browser ..

I dealt with IE up until this year .. it was good to me for many years .. but I know from many others that Foxfire has less vulnerabilities ..
I tried it and well .. it's stuck

Firefox is great. Only way to go in my book.

Interesting to see how 'they' changed the appearance of IE7 to resemble Firefox. Always playing catchup.

I have never had a problem with IE from back in the day to the present upgrade. Purrrrs like a kitten, using Foxfire in OB always gave me a large white box in the OB heading which drives me crazy, so I uninstalled it and went back to the ole' reliable.

So I guess America has voted..."I'm going home"

The older beta versions of Firefox did this to me (all) a lot. Pages didnt load correctly/fully all the time. This has been fixed, and ive had no issues with Firefox for quite some time now. Maybe try it again some time.

Maybe one day I will make the change for whatever reason it may be, but presently IE has shown me no flaws...but not fooled when it comes to technology, no different than other browsers...nothing is perfect accept our OB community

Me to. In fact IE7 works better than IE6 for me in every way. I can't update from IE6 on my workstation due to IE7 does not support Windows 2000. If I ever upgrade to Win XP or Vista on Workstation I will definitely go to IE7. Love the tabs, etc.

Last night I tried browsing with Mozilla Firefox at home, and it made absolutely no difference in the speed of loading pages. Then I thought in might be Norton Internet Security, so I turned that off and tried. Still no difference. It's surely a mystery!

Just for yuks, are you on dial-up, or high speed? If high speed, what kind? Cable, DSL? I used dial up with "accellerator" while at Condo and that was painful! I am at home on DSL right now and the board flies! So maybe something with your local connection?

Another thought: IE7 insists on checking every page for phishing. You can turn this "feature" off and the pages load faster. It's a good thing on unknown pages and sites, but OrchidBoard can be trusted (right Marty?)

I'm on high speed cable. We use the same ISP at work and everything loads fine. All other web pages & forums load really fast. OB is the only one I'm having a problem with at home. I have phishing turned off in IE7.
