keikis and flower bud at the same time?
Hi everyone,
I have a question ....
I have a phal hybrid, which is very "healthy" - roots ok, stalks still producing buds at the end, nice big healthy leaves... it has come out with three keikis on the stalks but what is very weird is that attached to 2 of them is a flower in bud??
I havent seen or read about this before..?
I'm not particularly worried - as just means increasing my plants ...but just find this very weird !

Bonjour Nenella, welcome to the forum
You have a very fun phal for sure! Not too sure about that 'bud" being a flower tho' - I'm thinking it will be another babie, well atleast from my point of view.
Please keep us posted it will be interesting to see the final outcome.
What's the name of the hybird?

Wow that is different!
It kind of looks like what happens with keiki paste.

Sure look like buds to me. Very interesting.

That is very cool and special. After a zoom in the top is a bud and not sure of the bottom on but the middle is following it's big sister. Can't wait to see what the outcome is...

Hello all,
Thankyou all for your thoughts; I too think it's flower buds. ... we'll see ....I have just gone & had a look and the first keiki with the largest flower bud is developing a second bud on the opposite side ! so now has 3 "buds" ! she also has a new leaf forming! ...
will keep you all posted! as for the subject of keiki paste ...I have never seen some or used it!

When did the plant start doing all of this growth? Your plant has a HUGE amount of energy. Great growing. Now if only my plants would do that. All that I'm getting right now is roots, which is great, but I would like to see some spikes too.
