Phalenopsis flower stalk has dried up
My phal was doing great! It had four beautiful blooms. Then one by one the flowers withered. Then the stalk dried up. The leaves seem to be fine. Do I cut the stalk at the base or do I just leave it alone? I'd appreciate any advice you could give.
Thanx ;^D

if its dried up and brown, cut it at the base of the spike, cut it as close to the plant as you can without damaging the plant

Welcome to the Orchid Board, you'll enjoy all the good help you'll get with almost 15,000 members.
I would leave you stalk alone, you might get a surprise, it doesn't hurt anything to leave it.. Phals sometimes want to keep blooming or throw babies. Leave it alone for a few weeks and see. You can always cut it. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to the OB.
If the spike (stalk) has dried, there will be no more blooms on it and you should just snip it off. If you have not checked the roots, now is a good time to do it with a possible repot.

Welcome to OB!
Yep. As "help" and Joann said if the spike has dried up go ahead and snip it off as close to the plant as possible. Now is the best time to repot if needed.

Welcome to Orchid Board.
I agree. If the spike is dried up then cut it off. If it's still green it may flower again so you can leave it.
This is quite normal for Phals and it will grow another one when it is ready.
