Interesting how the bottle is way over your calculation Ray. Maybe that is why they say don't fertilise dry roots, because their recomended concentration is so strong.
Exactly! It helps prevent chemical "burning", and is also wasteful of the fertilizer so you buy more.
OK... So I have been having problems with root rot (overwatering) I just can't bring myself to "leave them be" so I removed my phals From their medium, snipped the rotted roots, and mounted them to a piece of driftwood. now they look more natural, and I can monitor their roots and water them accordingly. My only question is. Should I continue to water them once a week with fertilizer and then spray them between that period when they need it??? Or is there a different way of fertilizing orchids with exposed roots????
