Light Green/Yellowish New Phal Leaf?

Hey everyone. This pic is of my favorite phal hybrid. She's a real beast of a phal and put out tons of flowers on the last spike (some of which are still holding on after 6 months!).

She even put out a new leaf which is growing strong and is already bigger than the last leaf (which was stunted somehow). My only concern is the new light-green/yellowish tint to the inside part of the newest leaf. What's that all about? Anyone seen anything like this before? This phal is a bit root-bound - it has new roots pushing through the vents in the clear plastic pot; but I didn't want to repot until all the blooms faded. Could the leaf color be a result of the need to repot.

If this is a cry for help I want to react quickly, so I appreciate any advise you can give.

Hmm, can't help I'm afraid.

Is it firm like the rest of the leaf. Is the texture the same as the rest of the leaf.

I very much doubt it is due to the need to re-pot, but I'm not sure what else it might be.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, it's firm like the rest of the leaf. The texture is the same - it's smooth, waxy and otherwise great.

Could it be sun-burn?

Has this Phal been in bright/direct light at all, even for a short while.

I'm just making gueses here, as I've not seen this before.

The light's been the same for months - I haven't moved it from it's east facing window.

Not sure how it could've gotten sunburned. I'll check the other orchids in that area and see if they're exhibiting any symptoms of sunburn.
