well I was trying not to repot this plant but it was crawling out of the small container it came in and was done blooming months and months ago...Re potted it and well it fell into 2 smaller peices, ack...then when I put this one in his new home I saw THIS

tell me its a spike please!! and not another crazy root ..I didn' know it was there and almost destroyed it..I dont know how my picking and preening at my plants is going to be cured. I guess if I break enough playing with em that'll learn me..didnt get enough humidity I think and it had another little dried up spike that died and this is a miltassia shelob

The plant looked really good when I got it. when I just did a now and then pic, it kind of made me sad for a moment,the little spike makes up for a lot in my orchid book..I hope it don't dry up now that his little covers been disturbed. I'm finding out them old leaves serve many a purpose if they are still green and hanging on. how can I make the plant crazy green like it was? I'm thinking humidity has a lot to do with that too?

well older foliage will get shed - first the outer bract foliage, - and eventually old leaves from the top of the older pbulbs will brown and be shed too ...
as you get new growth maturing you should also get lots of nice new green stuff lol
