Hi and welcome to the forum Sii
How long has you're phals been in the sphag media?, its looks spent.
I would repot and not use any ferts for a couple of months, flush out the roots. I think it needs to start over in clean fresh media.

I'm not saying a tempt drop won't help, but I've never had to do that with any of my phals, they bloom twice per year.
Maybe some phals are just more stubborn then others, I dunno.

Don't give up - this is a great hobby, you'll get these suckers to bloom have faith eh?!

Have you checked the roots?

How are they?

Checking the roots the are exposed on the surface is not good enough. You gotta look at the roots inside the pot.

If there is significant root damage, it will delay blooming.

Gloria - re: moss - it hasn't been a year that I've started using moss. I left the schultz material at the bottom (dark bark and rocks) and the moss on top. Should I buy new moss?

Philip re: roots - yes, I've checked the roots. Maybe a little to often. But hmmmmm, just in case, I'll add pictures of them. Please tell me what you think.

Looks to me like the roots that you have are healthy, but quite sparse. They need to get more numerous to build a strong plant - these are the roots that have adjusted to Sphagnum - if you change medium now, these may suffer. I'd repot in more moss, but only if it looks really rotten. I'm afraid after that it will be a case of more "T. L. C." and patience

I agree with Hedge, if these roots are adapted to moss now then moving to bark might mean it's got to start again. If the moss is broken down I would advise using replacement high quality moss.

I guess I made a mess of things. I just went out to the local nursery and bought some sequoia bark. Is it worth trying with this?
Thank you all for your patience.
