My Cambria Orchid (looks a little like Wild Cat but not quite) has had a hard time with new growths being eaten off by slugs (or something).
A couple of days ago I noticed this in the fold of a leaf. The attempted new growths have all come from the outside at the base, rather than between the leaves like this one.
Does this like another new growth which has escaped the slugs or could it be a spike.
It looks to tall and thin for a growth, but too fat for a spike. Having said that the spikes on this were previously very tall and the remains of one of them is quite thick so maybe it
is a spike.
What do you think?
Part of me wants a new growth... because if all the possible eyes get eaten then this plant will eventually just die, but another part of me would love it to flower again.
