Default Removing & Potting Keiki - Hope I didn't remove it to soon.

I've never had opportunity to pot up a keiki before but decided to remove this one from the mother today as it's roots are getting quite long. It was growing quite close to the medium and the roots were starting to dive in to the medium and get mixed with the parents roots.

I'm hoping I did the right thing, it was quite tough to remove but I managed to do it without damage to the roots or cane so I was quite pleased.

I've potted it in fine bark in the smallest size pot I have (7cm) and I'm hoping the roots will adapt to being in the medium OK.

In the first pic there is a bit of bark stuck to one of the roots. I decided to leave it rather than damage the root trying to get rid of it.
