Default Back in Minnesota

I had to leave all my Orchids in California behind, but I am starting out on the right track, so today I got me 2 Orchids, #1 is a Milt = Arnold Linsman " hot and spicy " and the 2nd I am not sure what it is, it says Octna = Susan Bogdanow " deep purple " I don't know what the Octna means. Anyways! good to be back home!!

Thanks WhiteRabbit, I am going to assume the requirements are about the same as a Milt.

Thats what I say RosieC, when I went and looked, I wasen't very impressed with any of the Phals they had, but those 2 sure got my attention, they had some very nice Orchids, some I never seen before in California, but I am still with my wife and I was only supposed to get 1, somehow ended up with 2
Thanks RosieC.

Those are stunners, Jeffrey! I don't think I could have left either one of those behind.

Yeah - that's how I would go ...
I actually have that same plant - but for some reason it hasn't been very happy - it did get 'cooked' in a heat-wave last summer - it was in the hot after-noon sun *sigh* - but the others that cooked at the same time, while looking worse for it, have been doing just fine ...
Trying to get mine back on track

oohh yea!! I remember that, we had a lot of fires that summer, I think summer weather here in Minnesota would be to Orchids likings, warm and very humid, I am sure I will have to re-think my watering schedule here as compared to living in SoCal, things dry out quite quickly there.
Good luck to you in try to get that Orchid on track.

Oh what a shame you couldn't bring those with you! You take beautiful pictures, by the way.
