Den kingianum-patience pays off.
This was one of the very first orchids I acquired, a small division from the Smith College orchid collection that finally bloomed, after 15 months. Isn't it cute? I'm so proud!

I love kingianum and it's hybrids! So pretty and yummy smelling. Congrats on your blooms. I just got my kingianum var. alba seedling I've had for over a year to spit out two little blooms this spring. I was equally as proud! lol

The Massachusetts Orchid Society annual show and sale at Tower Hill Botanic Garden is being held on November 4 to 7. The show is called "Tridents' treasures"and is dedicated to Dr. Wilford Neptune. Dr. Neptune was, in my opinion, one of the best dendrobium growers around, having won more than 100 AOS awards for his work. He was passionate about orchids and for sharing his knowledge and keikis with many orchid growers in New England. I will keep you posted about the show. ITM, please visit Massachusetts Orchid Society - Home for more info.
Best to all!

It has 6 buds. Oddly, no scent that I can detect.
