Default other than a zygo

what type forms a spike before a pseudobulb. it has grassy like leaves more of a pale green look leaves avg around 8 inches tall a spike emerges from the leaves, after the blooming is done a bulb will form. any ideas and i know you want pictures

Reminds me of my Miltonia. That will appear to spike before the new growths when, in fact it is spiking on old growths. I don't know for sure.

thanks ross this has 6 spikes and i see 6 bulbs but not one spike appears to becoming from the bulb. the leaves look real close to my ONCIDIUM ornithorhynchum but it has bulbs and new growth but has yet to spike

I've had a few (rarely) that got trapped and tried to grow in a circle. Just break them free (gently ) and all should go well.
