I'm afraid I don't know about Miracle Gro, there is one type which people here always advise against and I can't remember if this is the one. Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in with whether that is the case.

Your Burrageara is of 3/4 Oncidium ancestry, so the Oncidium care sheet should be perfect. There's just enough of the Cochlioda, Miltoniopsis and Odontoglossum ancestry to fill out the flower and brighten the color.

Your plant is a clone ('Everglades'), probably choosen for mass market as much because it is easy and quick to grow as because it is attractive, so care should be easy. The Miracle Grow orchid mix should be just fine, but watch your watering carefully after you repot since it may retain more or less water than the current mix.

Intergeneric orchid hybrids do occur in nature, but rarely with more than 2 genera involved. Yours is a man-made hybrid with at least 4 generations of breeding and selection behind it, involving plants that live as far apart as central Mexico and Bolivia.

Three of the grandparents of Burr. Dee Luce are Oncidium species - Onc. leuchochilum, Onc. anthrocrene and Onc. maculatum.

The 4th grandparent is a hybrid - Vuylstekeara Edna. It has 3 species in its background. One parent is Cochlioda noezliana x Miltoniopsis vexillaria. The other parent is Cda. noezliana (again) x Odontoglossum harryanum.

Maybe it would help if you drew it as a family tree, or perhaps think of it this way, Burrageara Dee Luce is:

1/4 Oncidium leucochilum
1/4 Oncidium anthrocrene
1/4 Oncidium maculatum
1/8 Cochlioda noezliana
1/16 Miltoniopsis vexillaria
1/16 Odontoglossum harryanum

So My Burr. is doing some weird stuff right now. With the medium still moist the pseudobulbs are still shriveling. When i looked down into the pot the roots were white and firm. What could be the problem?
