Default Cattleya nobilior question

Hello!

I'm new to species (since this spring) and I read a lot about their care. But, for some questions i can't find the answer by myself.

My C. nobilior is having new growths. For the "big" one I am sure it is a pseudobulb, but the smaller one it is little bit different... First is growing from the rhizome, but I'm not sure about the second. Also, for the second, the old psb is leafless. Could it be a spike/flower? I know that the flower don't bloom from the top at nobilior.

This plant have the root system down, but now recovering.

Any advice is appreciated!

That new growth is just smaller than the rest. It's not a flower spike.

They bloom from the top of the pseudobulb not from the rhizome.

Thanks King_. In some web sources they said it is possible/always forms a basal spike. Anyway, I am happy to see this species growing.

King, please don't hate me Look at the spike picture Cattleya nobilior var. amaliae 'Dona Laura'.

Or here: Cattleya nobilior

It seems nobilior can produce a basal spike. I'm not saying it is my case, just a possibility.

Sorry, I apologize. Yeah, you're right, they do bloom from the rhizome. But I still don't think it's a spike.

Here we go...

I found something on Cattleya nobilior. I don't know if you've read this already, but it looks like very good information.

Thanks! I've already read the first source information, but so many things to remember. I have to write down the most important information.

Nico,
I know its an old thread, but did this end up being a growth or a spike?
