I don't know if there are any stores for bark localy arround you, arround me the ones that sell it locally sell stuff I would not use as it's not been stored correctly and is already decaying.

For that reason I always buy medium from an orchid specialist online (see my link in an earlier post). It does of course mean you have to pay postage but I've found it much higher quality.

S/H means semi-hydroponic. It's a method of growing which uses a much wetter enviroment with clay pellets as the medium.

This link has all the info about S/H and we also have a section on the forum for people discussing it.

You have a Phalaenopsis (Phal for short). It looks like a complex hybrid of various species of Phal, and there are a LOT of those which have never been given a hybrid names so you will likely never know any more than Phalaenopsis... even if you find one that looks the same it could easily be different because there are just that many Phals out there. We call these NoID and it's nothing to worry about, the majority of my Phals are NoID and they can just be given general Phal care (see here for a care sheet.)

I've not used Montery Pine Bark but I know it's one of the ingredients used in some of the mixes done by some of the Orchid specialists.
