i understand that you have to find a potting medium that works for me. but do you have any recomendations?

I say why not try the sphagnum moss mound...take your little wood basket you have or even a plastic net pot put a few packing peanuts in between the roots and then pack some moss in around it. Curious as to how it is potted right now? What type of pot and what potting medium is it in?

right now its in a bark mix. i have plastic net pots and wooden slat baskets. i think ill do it in the basket the way you said, thanks!!

because i like to repot after i get my chids. do neos do bad with repotting? i dont really trust the place where i got them to have good medium and stuff

A lot of people repot as soon as they receive a new orchid. It's a good idea to see what condition the root system is in, so you have a very good reason for wanting to repot. I haven't had much problem with repotting them, but I've only been growing them maybe two or three years so I'm not an expert by any means. I just killed a couple before I got the hang of things with them...now I'm working on trying to get them to rebloom for me...lol. Maybe in another year or two I'll have that part down. Keep us posted on how things go!

Okay as long as they aren't really picky about potting. Did you find that video link for potting the traditional way?
