Phalaenopsis un-explained leaf drops :(
im having/had the same problem with three different phals. and im cant seem to figure out what it is.
here goes....
it starts out on a leaf looking like necrosis. and then, doesnt do anything for a while. next, it spreads to the whole leaf, and gets yellow like sunburn. then, the infected leaf falls off. later on, the other leaves slowly fall off starting at the top, and working their way down. and then, eventually there are no more leaves left.
what should i do!!??!! im scared!! i posted pics of the two still alive, the third one has died already, is there any way to save the remaining two?
pics arent working tonight, so ill post them tomorrow

It does sound like some sort of crown rot. When you say necrosis I think black... is that what you mean.
If so I had one which had a dry black necrosis arround the center of the phal... it took about 6 months for the top leave to fall (turning yellow first), then all the others fell quite quickly afterwards (withint a few months). I tossed it last week.
I never did find the cause as it didn't seem like rot (never mushy or soft).
I kept mine away from all the others and I've seen no sign on those. I'm afraid I still don't know what it was though.
When I asked recently if anyone knew what might have caused it the only thought was some sort of rot and to try H202 in the crown to stop it. I was asking after the event though so don't know if that would have helped.

I would suspect pseudomonas.
Treat with Phyton 27 which will also kill Erwinia, another bacteria that can cause this.

the necrosis looking part, starts on the middle of the leaf. and then i explained earlier the rest of the 'process' ill post pics. in the first pic, the the top leaf has fallen out, taking with it, what looks like the crown :\
i dont think its crown rot, i didnt get any water into the crowns, im very carefull, but its still possible
