rot or sunburn?
Default rot or sunburn?

recently, some of my phals leaves begin to "rot" through. it started with patches of crude surface, then it turns dark and brown. lastly the whole leave is "rot" through. see photos..

is it infected or sunburn? or something else?

should i isolate the affected plants?

That looks like rot, but i have never seen anything like that before. Sadly I don't think it will survive. I had one and all of the leaves turned yellow and fell off. Try repotting, I think that is the only hope for your phal.

The last photo looks a lot like insect or slug damage.

I think the first picture is sunburn. It is better to keep it away to other plants and put it on a shady location..

The last picture looks like it was eaten by some insects.

Could be rot that happened after sunburn. Now most people will completely disagree with me and say that sunburn doesn't cause rot. Except that I had that happen to one of my phals. It got sunburn, and while most of the lesions dried out, some continued to spread as mushy rot. I caught it early and excised all the damaged tissue (and saved the plant) but in your case the plant looks pretty far gone.

As for the last pic, I agree that it looks more like something munched on it
