stone pots

I recently bought 2 water absorbing stone pots about 6" inside i was wondering a type of orchid and the medium to plant it in i live in Pattaya Thailand.

Hmm... not sure, although I've been told that cooler loving orchids do well in water absorbing pots because the evaporation of the water cools the root zone.

I'm afraid I don't know what grows well in your part of the world so can't advise that much.

I will go to my orchid man this week end show him the pots. it is a natural stone. He is bring me a earth orchid (terestreal). I may just give them to him to plant not sure. but thanks for the input.
