HELP Den. Love memory fit (den.white rabbit) and C.green emerald "orchid" queen
Please help i'm a beginner. My dendrobium started getting black and yellow at the tip, it started to spread below to the rest of the "stalk" (don't know the name). I thought it might have been from too much water since it's been raining here quite a bit, i put it under something that still allowed it to get light but that wouldn't allow as much water into the pot. it didn't stop spreading and i just it cut it off before it spread more, i dont know if that was the right thing to do. i dont know what the problem is or what caused it. on the green emerald, i repotted a couple months back and noticed that the roots were rotting, it outgrew the container that i bought it in. I cut some of the rotted and dead roots off to let it breathe, but there were so many of them it didn't leave it with much. the plant was actually doing very well for a while, i saw a lot of new green roots. lately it's not doing so well, the leaves are wrinkly and my orchids usually grow very fast, i did get a new leaf in and it is a big one in the back...but the wrinkles on the leaves are worrying me...i dont know if it's getting too much light or what all of my others are doing exceptional except these two. please help this is especially my favorite one. they both smell so beautiful. thank you.

Welcome to Orchid Board
I'm afraid I can't help much on your orchids, although I would guess the the wrinkled leaves may be due to lack of water.

Catt been put in a pot that's too big.
Good you cut rotting part of Den off. Hopefully with a pair of sterilized cutters.
Pot may be too big for the Den too.

I knew the pot was too big, but since the roots are literally just what you see there does that matter? i am trying to get it to grow to the potting medium so that it's clinging to something..but is that the wrong way to do it? if the wind blew to hard right now it would topple over..what can i change? thanks for the help Philip.

The problem with big pots on orchids (most orchids) is that the medium dries to slowly and this can lead to rot. For this reason most like to have pots just big enough for the roots.
I mostly have experience of this with Phals, but with those I have find that the roots get growing again well when put into the smallest pot possible.

The pot being too big is the problem. That's why it matters.
You're not going to get the orchid to grow into the pot. It's the other way around.
The orchid must demonstrate that it has outgrown the pot in order to move it just a 1/2 size up.
RosieC said it with the big pot issue.
Wind blowing orchid down. Oh, well, that's everyone's problem, it isn't unique to just a few people.

what I meant by the wind was that the roots are so shallow it's not attached to anything yet, i was just trying to get it attached to some medium then move it to a smaller pot, it was the only pot i had at the time. i'll move into a smaller pot, but the plant is growing in a narrow long direction (that's how it was when i bought it) instead of filling out in each direction, if i cram it into the size smaller will it fill out?

Eventually the roots will fill out. The plant itself, maybe not quite so quickly. Again pot size must be proportional to root mass - always for Dens.
