den nobile potting??? Female
Default den nobile potting???

So I got this den nobile a couple weeks ago. It's currently in a plastic basket that was clearly meant to hang...
Unfortunately this basket won't stand up by itself and I am unable to hang it....so it is currently propped up against a wall. I really want to repot or mount it, but I'm worried about messing up all the pretty new roots, what should I do?

Thanks!

for some reason my picture isn't showing up...here's the link: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...78-nobile.html

You may have to cut the basket off in order to do either.

Yes, I've had to cut those basket up pretty good to get orchids out of them. But as Orchid126 mentioned in your other post, soak, soak and soak some more to get those roots pliable. It really makes a world of difference. As long as it has lots of roots, a few broken ones won't kill it, but I still try to be as careful as I can. Good luck and be sure to post some pictures for us when it blooms! (I love nobiles, they're one of my fav's!)

Enjoy the repotting and don't get frustrated.
Orchid126 and Tropicgirl answers are right on.
